PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthetic aperture radar loaded on an aircraft or a moving platform for sanitation, capable of reducing phase compensation error in imaging of observed data for obtaining high resolution image of ground or sea surfaces and an image reproduction method therewith. SOLUTION: Average of amplitudes for every range bin is calculated, and a threshold is determined on the basis of the average amplitude in the range bin where the average becomes maximum. By using only the range bin having amplitude over the threshold, process is done with only the range bin with small estimation error, and so phase compensation error can be reduced.
