PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric scale capable of simply reducing creep property to zero without requiring a complicated design and time-consuming selection of stain gauges. SOLUTION: Two stationary columns of strain gauge type load sensors 1, 2 are fixed on a base of the electric scale, movable columns are connected by a load receiver 3, and an weighing plate 4 is mounted on the load receiver 3. Amounts of creep of the load sensors 1, 2 are separately measured. An additive coefficient is set to balance out the respective creep amounts and is used to sum up outputs of the respective load sensors and evaluate a weight value. Strain gauges are stuck to Roberval mechanisms of the load sensors, and creep can be readily compensated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
