PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector which can deal with such a situation that it is made small-sized and lightweight and can evade secondary radiation of an electromagnetic wave by an internal constitution member and can take sufficient countermeasures against electromagnetic disturbance. SOLUTION: A projection lens 46 is disposed at one end part of an optical unit 4 in a nearly L shape in plane view and enlarges and projects a color image composited by a cross-dichroic prism of an optical device body and comprises a straight-acting cylinder 46B fixed to a head part 49 formed on a housing for optical component, a cam cylinder 46C having a lever 46 formed, a lens group for power conversion of a zoom lens, a lens group for focus adjustment, and a fixed lens. The straight-acting cylinder 46B and cam cylinder 46C are made of a polycarbonate and a control board is so arranged above the projection lens as to cover the projection lens 46 in two dimensions.
