CERAMICS PREPARED FROM DRY BATTERY REFUSE AND PROCESS FOR PREPARING THIS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for effectively using a large amount of dry battery refuse.

SOLUTION: Dry battery refuse is mixed with stoneware clay, molded, dried and baked to manufacture a ceramic product. This allows effective use of a large amount of dry battery refuse and fixation of heavy metals contained therein. The addition of dry battery refuse to a raw material can lower the baking temperature for manufacturing a ceramic product and imparts a novel brown appearance to the product.
