<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an optical fiber preform which produces an optical fiber in a high yield having an excellent optical property such as wavelength dispersion without investing special equipment nor a troublesome procedure in the process. <P>SOLUTION: When the optical fiber preform is produced by using a core preform producing device and an external device, the external device is decided in accordance with the produced optical fiber core preform, thereby, the external mounting is performed and the optical fiber preform is produced in such a manner that the fluctuation of the property due to the optical fiber core preform and the fluctuation of the property due to the external mounting are offset to each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
