<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deter a drain signal line from being broken. <P>SOLUTION: Pixel regions surrounded by a plurality of gate signal lines arranged on a liquid-crystal side surface of one of substrates arranged opposite each other across liquid crystal and a plurality of drain signal lines arranged crossing the gate signal lines are provided with switching elements which operate with scanning signals from the gate signal lines and pixel electrodes which are supplied with video signal from the drain signal lines through the switching elements. Three pixels for color display comprise two adjacent pixels in an even-numbered column along the gate signal lines and one pixel close to those in an odd-numbered column, and two adjacent pixels in an odd-numbered column and one pixel close to those in an even-numbered column, and these are arrayed alternately. The drain signal lines are bent at an obtuse angle while traveling between pixels in the even-numbered column, extended linearly as they are, and then bent at an obtuse angle to the opposite direction while traveling on pixels in the odd-numbered column. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
