PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a worker to freely set the paper information of a paper used for image processing and to identify the kinds of paper magazines according to setting conditions. SOLUTION: The image processing device has a magazine code output section for outputting magazine codes to the paper magazine and has code reading means for reading the magazine codes and control means in a device body. The control means has a paper information input function for inputting the information on the paper to undergo image processing, a numbering function for imparting paper numbers for every inputted paper information, a code setting function for setting the magazine codes in correspondence to the paper numbers, a paper number retrieval function for retrieving paper number corresponding to the magazine codes read by the code reading means and a processing control function for performing image processing in accordance with the paper information corresponding to the paper number retrieved by the paper number retrieval function.
