PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience of a user and reduce a cost of recording device by enhancing handling performance of a tray for carrying and an adapter. SOLUTION: A printer 1 is constituted such that the tray 70 for setting a optical disk from a device front side can feed or eject paper. The tray 70 is supported from a lower side by the adapter 50 detachably mounted to a front side of the printer 1, and a feeding position in a column direction is regulated. The tray 70 and the adapter 50 are respectively provided with engaging parts, and after the tray 70 is inserted to the adapter 50, the tray 70 is in an undetachable state from the adapter 50.
