Yarn texturizing assembly, has a drum to carry the texturized yarn from the jet as a plug, held to its surface, to be transferred to a guide groove at a second cooling drum without a speed change. The yarn texturizing assembly has a texturizing jet together with two drums (22,23). At the outlet side of the jet (10) the yarn travels at the circumference of the first drum as a plug (1') held in place by a friction lock and at least partially in a positive fit lock, so that the longitudinal; speed of the yarn plug at the drum surface matches the speed of the guide groove (220) in the second drum at the transfer zone. A pressure difference in the air system presses the yarn plug against the surface of the first drum, to carry it according to the shape and packing density of the yarn to the end of its path around the first drum, and transfer to the second drum. The yarn plug is cooled at the second drum, and expanded if required, to be transferred to further transport rollers (22').
