<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simplified winding device of a car body cover that uniformly winds the car body cover at a high speed, accumulates an appropriate winding energizing force in a winding shaft having a winding spring, and is installed in a trunk of an automobile. <P>SOLUTION: The simplified winding device 1 of the car body cover for storing the automobile trunk comprises, in a storing case 2 having a front door 2a, the winding shaft 4 having the winding spring 4a for accumulating the winding energizing force for winding the car body cover 3, an energizing force controlling means 5 for adjusting strength of the winding energizing force, a rotation preventing means for holding the winding energizing force, a winding member 6 that has a large diameter part 6a and a small diameter part 6b and interlocks with the winding shaft 4, partitioning members 7 disposed at both ends of the winding member 6, and a pulling string 8 that can connect the large diameter part 6a of the winding member to the car body cover 3 and release the connection to the car body cover 3 after pulling.
