LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a configuration without the arrangement of a black matrix while keeping the function of the black matrix.

SOLUTION: A gap control film is formed by adopting both of a gate signal line and a drain signal line as a lower layer. Color filters which present a color being the common color to respective pixel areas and are juxtaposed along one of the gate and drain signal lines are formed on a surface at the side of liquid crystal of one board among respective boards. The side wall surface of color filter is adjacently arranged or brought into contact with the facing side wall surface of another adjacent color filter with another color so that each boundary part is formed. The boundary part is positioned above one of the signal lines. The color filters with the respective colors are laminated and formed in an area other than a liquid crystal display part which is the aggregation of the pixel areas. A supporter shape spacer is formed on the surface at the side of liquid crystal of the other board among the respective boards and also the gap control film is removed from the part of the spacer arranged in the area other than the liquid crystal display part.
