<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake pedal device for an automobile, compatible with a backward-movement preventative mechanism even if an instrument panel module structure is employed. <P>SOLUTION: Since the structure is only such that an upward projection 13 is formed on a slide plate 12 and, behind the projection 13, a butting part 32 formed at the front end 31 of a steering bracket 30 is positioned in the vicinity of the projection 13, the backward-movement preventative mechanism can be accommodated even in the case of the instrument panel module 29, where a steering member 28 is attached to the body integrally with the instrument panel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
