PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition, especially, a rubber composition for tire treads, each having both of small temperature dependence and high grip performance, and to provide a pneumatic tire using the composition. SOLUTION: This rubber composition is characterized by comprising a rubber component and a resin having≤1% mass loss on heat at 200°C measured by thermogravimetry at 10°C/min programming rate, and the pneumatic tire is provided by using the composition.
