<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antireflection article which has reduced light reflection and the improvd visibility of display. <P>SOLUTION: In an antireflection article 10, fine irregularities 2 is provided on one surface of a transparent base material 1, and an antireflection film 3 which doesn't have fine irregularities like a dielectric multi-layered film and has a layer having a low refractive index and is constituted of a single layer or many layers is provided on the other surface. Such shape is given to the fine irregularities 2 that a period PMAX of top parts of the fine irregularities becomes equal to or shorter than a minimum wavelength λMIN in vacuum of the wavelength band of visible rays, and the sectional area occupancy ratio of the material part of the transparent base material in a horizontal section is continuously gradually reduced toward the top part from the bottom part of the fine irregularities. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
