<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earthquake prediction/publicity system for collecting the terrestrial magnetism information of each place with a portable terminal mounting a magnetic sensor as an information source, for predicting an earthquake based on the information, and for distributing the earthquake prediction information to a portable terminal. <P>SOLUTION: Earth magnetism information that is transmitted from a portable terminal 1 mounting a magnetic sensor is collected at an terrestrial magnetism information processing center 6 via a ground station 3 and a network 5, thus constructing terrestrial magnetism information DB 9. The terrestrial magnetism information is processed to a terrestrial magnetism map by a terrestrial magnetism map creation means 8. The terrestrial magnetism map is set to be a judgment material of earthquake prediction in an earthquake-predicting organ 10, and earthquake prediction information (alarm sentence) is distributed to the portable terminal as needed. In this manner, an earthquake-predicting/publicity system is provided for collecting the terrestrial magnetism information from each portable terminal, for predicting an earthquake based on the information, and for distributing prediction information to each portable terminal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
