PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a comfortable brassiere having a highly trimming effect, and having no fear that the lower end of a fitting belt bites into the wearer's skin. SOLUTION: The brassiere comprises a pair of the right and left cups 2, and a fitting belt 3 made of a stretchable knitted fabric and having a run-proof hem 6 at its edge. The lower edge of the fitting belt 3 comprises the hem 6. A front panel 4 made of non-stretchy fabric is fixed to the portion between the cups 2 so as to lie ranging from the lower part to the side of the cup 2. The both ends of the front panel 4 overlap with each other to be fixed to the fitting belt 3. The overlapped part of the front panel 4 is formed to be tapered as approaching the upper end thereof. A power switching part 8 is formed at the lower part of the fitting belt 3 so that tightening force is gradually weakened by some stages toward the main body part of the belt from the lower edge of the power switching part.
