PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring method and a measuring instrument suitable for practical use capable of enhancing the measuring speed for the temperature characteristic of an oscillator. SOLUTION: A large number of quartz oscillators 1 are stored in a carrier 2 under the condition where terminals thereof are directed upwards, and a measuring terminal block 32 projected with measuring terminals 31 corresponding to the terminals of the quartz oscillators is moved downward from an upper side thereof, so as to bring electric connection between the respective terminals by contact. A substantially linear-function-like linear temperature change is executed in a temperature-variable vessel to measure the characteristic of the measured piezoelectric oscillator within a unit time.
