PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hairdressing kit capable of avoiding such a trouble that a hairdressing is dried in the middle of dressing of the hair, capable of freely controlling a dressing time required for setting the hair, and capable of giving the hairdressing having good processability when used, and to provide a method for controlling the dressing time, capable of freely controlling the dressing time according to hair style, nature of the hair, etc. SOLUTION: This hairdressing kit comprises a first container containing (A) a hair-setting agent which is solid or pasty at an ordinary temperature, a second container containing (B) a volatile liquid material, and, if necessary, a third container containing (C) water and/or an alcohol, so as to control the dressing time. The method for controlling the dressing time comprises changing a mixture ratio (in weight) of the hair-setting agent which is solid or pasty at the ordinary temperature (A) to the volatile liquid material (B) in a range satisfying: (A)/(B)=1/10 to 20/1, so that the dressing time is controlled.
