PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the implementation of balance tests for workpieces the same in type but different in the relative angle between the key groove and the workpiece reference position. SOLUTION: An unbalanced scalar of a first workpiece due to the key groove is memorized in a storage device. Based on the memorized scalar and the relative angle between the reference position of a second workpiece and the key groove measured by a relative angle measuring device, the unbalanced vector of the second workpiece due to the key groove is calculated. By measuring the unbalanced vector for the second workpiece as a whole by an unbalance measuring device, the unbalanced vector peculiar to a workpiece is calculated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
