<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus where a photoreceptor and a conveyor belt are prevented from rubbing with each other in the case of drawing out an image forming unit. <P>SOLUTION: An abutting part 42 projecting downward is formed at the rear edge of each photoreceptor holding member 32M, 32C, 32Y or 32B. In a state where a belt unit 31 is closed, the abutting part 42 abuts on a belt holding member 29 on a rear side so that the image forming unit 33M, 33C, 33Y or 33B cannot be drawn out (figure 5 (a)) to a front side (on a left side in figure 5) even if it is to be drawn out thereto. The unit 31 is displaced downward in a stage where it is drawn out, whereby the restraint effect to the member 29 by the abutting part 42 is released, and the unit 33M, 33C, 33Y and 33B can be drawn out to the front side (figure 5 (b)). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
