<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission medium and an optical transmission device which enable positioning of high precision. <P>SOLUTION: An optical transmission device 14 is provided with an optical transmission medium 10, a holding part for holding the optical transmission medium, and a positioning reference part 15 for receiving the optical transmission medium. The optical transmission medium 10 has a light guide 11 for transmitting an optical signal, an optical signal incidence/emission part 13a having a slope formed in one end of the light guide, an optical signal incidence/ emission part 13b having a slope formed in the other end of the light guide, and a positioning part 12 provided in one end of the light guide.
