<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular operational characteristic control system that controls a vehicle to an optimal state depending on an operation by an occupant without requiring complicated work. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicular operational characteristic control system 10 comprises load sensors 11 for detecting the weight of an occupant, a steering wheel 12 operated by the occupant, dirigible road wheels 13 actuated according to the operation of the steering wheel 12 to change the direction of vehicle travel accordingly, and a control circuit 15 for setting a characteristic indicative of a relation between operating force applied to the steering wheel 12 and steering force assisting the dirigible road wheels 13, in dependence on the occupant's physique detected by the load sensors 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
