PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting foreign objects of a table ware container and an apparatus for it which can accurately detect the metal foreign objects, etc., remaining inside the table ware container. SOLUTION: The apparatus for detecting the foreign objects of the table ware container detects the foreign objects remaining inside a main and a flange of the container formed from recycle paper, etc., and receiving food, and is provided with a carrying means for carrying the container, a means for detecting the foreign objects at least by placing the container carried by the carrying means in a magnetic field generated by high frequency electric power or by imaging the carried container by using an imaging means and a means for determining quality of the container based on a detected result from the detecting means.
