PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cement admixture which has high dispersion performance, gives excellent strength and durability to the hardened cement and can prevent fluidity from being deteriorated at high temperature and to provide a method for applying a cement composition containing the cement admixture. SOLUTION: This cement admixture contains a copolymer (A) and one or more compounds (B) selected from the group consisting of hydroxycarboxylic acid or its salt, sugar and sugar alcohol at a ratio of 10/90 to 99.9/0.1 (wt.%) as indispensable components. The copolymer (A) has a constituent unit (I) expressed by the general formula: YO(R<SP>1</SP>O)nR<SP>2</SP>and derived from an unsaturated (poly)alkylene glycol ether-based monomer (a) and another constituent unit (II) derived from an unsaturated monocarboxylic acid-based monomer (b) as indispensable units. Each of the units (I) and (II) accounts for≥1 wt.% of the whole constituent units, and the unit (I) accounts for≤50 mol% of the whole constituent units. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
