PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens interchangeable type camera capable of securing continuous interchangeability and easily extending a system. SOLUTION: Male connectors 38A and 38B are provided corresponding to a function prepared in an interchangeable lens 12A in the connection part 18 of the lens 12A. Meanwhile, a recessed part 60 in which the connection part 18 of the lens 12A is fit is formed on the lens mount 16 of a camera body 14, and also female connectors 62A and 62A are arranged in the recessed part 60. Thus, even when a male connector is additionally installed in the connection part 18 of the lens 12A because of the addition of functions in future, the installed male connector is housed in the recessed part 60, so that the conventional camera body is used as the camera body 14A as it is, and the system is extended while keeping the interchangeability.
