METHOD FOR EXTRACTING MICROBE ANTIGEN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a simple method for extracting a saccharide chain antigen by concentrating the microbes having the saccharied chain antigen in a liquid to be extracted and to determine the quantity of the microbes in the liquid to be extracted by using the obtained saccharide chain extracted liquid. SOLUTION: The saccharide chain antigen is extracted by filtering the liquid to be extracted which may contain the microbes having the saccharide chain antigen by a filter perforation, preferably by a filter perforation in which the pore size is 0.8-2μm and reacting the microbes held on the filter perforation with nitrous acid solution. The quantity of the saccharide chain antigen is determined by immunoassay method using the antibody united with the saccharide chain antigen. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
