PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for bonding glass and glass or crystal and crystal or glass and crystal even when bonding is not always performed between plain surfaces. SOLUTION: A joint between glass 2a and glass 2b is irradiated with UV ray of≤172 nm wavelength, a liquid 1 in which fine powder P is dispersed in alkoxide T is applied onto at least a part of the joint 2a, 2b, then fellow glasses are brought into contact with each other and are fixed, the joint is irradiated with UV ray of≤172 nm wavelength again to convert an irradiated part to a glass layer.
