PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium storing case which is effective when the recording medium and a case for storing the recording medium are to be managed, and a recording medium reproducing apparatus. SOLUTION: The recording medium storing case 1 for use in storing a recording medium 8 has a signal recording section. The aforesaid purpose is attained by arranging the recording medium storing case comprising a case main body 1 having an outer wall surface, an opening part 35 for removably storing the recording medium and a sensitive type transfer section 6 arranged at the outer wall surface of the case main body 1 to enable either a character or an image to be transferred.
