PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress regression of a dash cross member and suppress projection of a dash panel into a cabin at a frontal vehicle collision. SOLUTION: The dash cross member 16 connecting a front pillar 18 and a floor tunnel part 20 has a join portion 16C to a front side member 12, projected forward of the front pillar 18 and the floor tunnel part 20 along vehicle length. The dash panel 14 extends straight along vehicle width between weld portions 14D and 14E to the dash cross member 16. A space 22 is thus formed between the join portion 16C of the dash cross member 16 to the front side member 12 and the dash panel 14. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
