Sealing for a carbonator

The dispenser for feeding carbon dioxide into drinks comprises a CO2 cylinder (12) fitted with a valve (16). An adapter (13) screws on to this to feed CO2 into the drink. A sealing ring (33) is fitted in the socket (34) of the adapter. The lower surface (50) of the ring forms a seal with the surface (20) around the valve before this is opened by screwing down the adapter and takes up the movement required for opening the valve.
