The invention relates to a textile support for labels meant for marking the knitted and woven fabrics in the production flow sheet and to a process for finishing the same. According to the invention, the textile support is made up of a woven fabric having in the warp and weft some threads containing from 50 ...100 % PES and up to 50 % Bbc, a length density from 7 to 14 tex, the ratio between the warp setting and the weft spacing being from 1.5 ...2.0, the weave being made up of cloth, the woven fabric being subjected to the printing with a paste containing 200...300 g/kg of white pigment, 150...300 g/kg of self cross-linking acrylic agent, 15...30 g/kg of setting agent, 10 g/kg of ammonia, 360...625 g/kg of thickener, said paste being applicable in an amount from 30...40 g/m2, followed by the chemical treatment of said woven fabric with thermoadhesive polyethylene powder applied from the fused mass in an amount ranging from 30 to 50 g/m2.
