The device relates to a filter bag for filtering water-soluble food products and to a device for making the same, employed in domestic and public food producing field. According to the invention, the filter bag is provided with two or more faces (3' and 3'') and a semicircular groove (5) accomodating a circular string (2), which is cut on the edge of the sides (c, d, e and g) defining the outline of one face. The claimed device for making the filter bag comprises several symmetrical parallel bodies (C and D) mechanically or electrically actuated by means of some piston-rods (13, 16 and 17) guided and supported by a guiding plate (15).
