<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device that prevents an agent added to toner from sticking to a developer restricting member and always uniformizes a toner layer, thereby preventing the occurrence of a streak. <P>SOLUTION: A voltage application means which generates a DC electric field between a developer carrier and a developer restricting member applies a voltage so that the order of electrification of friction between the added agent of a large particle diameter and developer mother particles correlates with the direction of a DC electric field between the developer carrier and the developer restricting member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
