<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new rare earth permanent magnet alloy of high magnetic performance, and to provide a bond magnet. <P>SOLUTION: The permanent magnet alloy consists of an R-Fe-B alloy (wherein, R is at least one kind of rare earth element including Y), and has a composition essentially consisting of Fe, substantially containing no N, and containing ≥4 atomic % B, and a structure substantially consisting of a TbCu<SB>7</SB>hard magnetic phase (main phase) and fine crystals and/or an amorphous phase having a means grain size of <5 nm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
