PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dynamic ultrafine durometer capable of performing compacting and rigidity increasing of the durometer as compared with those of a prior art. SOLUTION: A sample base 1 for placing a sample W is disposed above a pressing element 2 and its loading mechanism 3, and a part of a lower surface of the sample placed on its upper surface can be opposed below the element 2 and the mechanism 3. The element is pressed to the lower surface of the sample W on the base 1. Thus, the height relationship between the base 1 and the mechanism 3 can be always made constant irrespective of the height of the sample W. This durometer can be compacted and increased in the rigidity as compared with the conventional durometer of this type in which the loading mechanism is raised upward so as to provide a space for raising or lowering the base by considering the difference of the heights of the sample W.
