PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide contact guide for a transmission system suppressing shock noise due to jolting of the guide itself during transmission running, increasing production efficiency by enlarging a tolerance range of molding precision, and reducing a production cost. SOLUTION: A slide contact guide 100 for a transmission system is provided with: a guide body 110 made of synthetic resin, comprising a shoe part 111 with which a transmission medium makes contact for sliding, and a vertical plate-form part 112 situated on the back of the shoe part throughout the longitudinal direction of a guide; and a reinforcing plate 120 fitted in a slit 112a of a guide body 110 made of synthetic resin. The generation of jolting shock noise during transmission running is suppressed by sufficiently filling a gap between the slit 112a and the reinforcing plate 120 with a buffer material 130.
