PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently conduct the excavating works of a buried article using a hydraulic backhoe while reducing the fatigue of an operator operating the hydraulic backhoe. SOLUTION: In the offset boom type hydraulic backhoe 2 excavating a side ditch in a buried pipe, the slewing stop place of a revolving super structure 6 can be perceived easily by the operator by installing a plurality of projectors 20 on the underside of the first boom 11, in which a base end section is mounted on the main body of the revolving super structure 6, and projecting light towards the apex of the buried pipe 1 from the projectors 20.
