<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a visual inspection apparatus whose inspection accuracy can be enhanced and in which an optical system can be set simply and to provide a PTP packaging machine which is equipped with the visual inspection apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The visual inspection apparatus 12 is provided with an illumination means 21 by which infrared light is irradiated from the side of a pocket part at a PTP film equipped with a tablet and a cover film having discrimination information (a marking part and a printing part) translucent to the infrared light, a CCD camera 22 which is sensitive to the infrared light and an image processor 23 which processes an image signal from the CCD camera 22. In the image processor 23, binarization image data is first created by a first binarization means 29 by neglecting the marking part of the tablet, a tablet region is specified, and a foreign substance inside the tablet region is decided. Then, binarization image data is created by a second binarization region 31 by neglecting the printing part on the cover film, and a foreign substance on the cover film is decided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
