<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a column cover improved in versatility. <P>SOLUTION: A column cover lower element 3 of the column cover 1 has a recessed portion 4 recessed inward toward a key cylinder 90. The recessed portion 4 has a hole 43 in a bottom wall 41 through which a knob 91 of the key cylinder 90 is exposed into the recessed portion 4, and a notch 46 cut from an upper edge of the hole 43 to an upper portion of a sidewall 42 of the recessed portion 4 to expose the knob 91 above the recessed portion 4. The recessed portion 4 is provided with a cover member 5 for covering the notch 46 from above, and the cover member 5 is mounted with an illuminator 7. The illuminator 7 is lit for a given time when a driver's seat side door 72 is opened to illuminate an area below the notch 46 through an illumination window 63 of the cover member 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
