<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which prevents the occurrence of a toner-pressed mark to an intermediate transfer body caused by toner stuck to a cleaning blade. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus possessing a plurality of photoreceptors 40 to carry a toner image, a toner image forming means 18 to form the toner image on the photoreceptor 40, an intermediate transfer body 10 to transfer and carry the toner image formed on the photoreceptor 40 by using a primary transfer means 62 and an intermediate transfer body cleaning means 17 to remove toner remaining on the intermediate transfer body 10 after the toner image formed on the intermediate transfer body 10 is transferred to a transfer medium by a secondary transfer means 22, the intermediate transfer body cleaning means 17 possesses a pressure changing means 17-3 to change at least the abutting pressure of two levels to the intermediate transfer body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
