PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing the occurrence of an unevenness in density due to the pitch of the recessions and projection on a base body surface of an image carrier and the alignment of dots. SOLUTION: An angle of the dot lines, of a latent image equally spaced in the main scanning direction against the direction of the recessions and projections of the feeding pitch of a turning tool which is cut-processed on the surface of the base body of the image carrier, is formed so as to be larger than the specified angle.
