PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent wear and seizure of a slidable contacting part caused by generation of lack of lubrication at the slidable contacting part of a vane with a pump casing since viscosity of the fuel tends to fall for recent environmental protection. SOLUTION: A feed pump 4 mounted on a distribution type fuel injection pump consists of the pump casing 60, a rotor 61, the vane 62, an inside end plate 63 and a pump cover 64, etc. The tip slide way of the vane 62 is subjected to at least either hardening treatment improving wear resistance or processing reducing a friction coefficient. Even if the viscosity of fuel is lowered, wear and seizure of the tip slide way of the vane 62 is prevented and the feed pump 4 is stably operated with this technology for a long period of time.
