PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely transfer from a normal state to an emergency state in the emergency case by a simple mechanism when a water storage tank is installed near a water main and the water storage tank is connected to the water main by an inflow pipe and an outflow pipe and city water flows through the water storage tank in the normal case but city water does not pass through the tank and flows into the water main in the emergency case such as an earthquake. SOLUTION: Three-way valves are annexed to a connecting section between the water main and the inflow pipe and a connecting section between the water main and the outflow pipe respectively. A pressure gas stored in a steel cylinder is utilized for operating the three-way valves in the emergency case. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
