PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snow melting system having excellent economical efficiency without environmental problems such as subsidence of ground and air pollution. SOLUTION: In this snow melting method using a heat pump 1, in operating the heat pump 1, underground water is used as a heat source, and river water heated by the heat is sprinkled on the road surface and the ground to melt the snow. An antifreeze liquid heated by the heat is circulated through a snow melting pipe buried in the ground, thereby melting the snow coverage on the road surface and the ground. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
