PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate assembling, exchange, positional adjustment of a cam for operating a nipping mechanism. SOLUTION: A mechanism driving device comprises a cam 20 fixed so that the angle can be changed about a rotation center of a nipping cylinder JC, and an angle change transmitting mechanism. The angle change transmitting mechanism has a movable shaft 11 that is disposed near the outer peripheral surface of the nipping cylinder, can be changed in the angle about the center line parallel with the rotation center of the nipping cylinder JC, and has a movable member M, an arm 12 mounted to the movable shaft so as to be extended radially from the center line of the movable shaft, and cam followers 14a and 14b mounted to the movable shaft. The angle change transmitting mechanism also changes the angle of the movable shaft by moving the cam followers in response to a rotation of the nipping cylinder. The mechanism driving device also comprises a screw mechanism 30 that is connected to the proximity of the outer periphery of the cam so as to exert a force vertical to the radius and can be operated from the back side of a cam mounted surface on a frame Fb.
