<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a heat amount radiated from a fixing device and also to prevent temperature in the circumference of the fixing device to rise by radiated heat. <P>SOLUTION: The fixing device 9 is arranged at the downstream side of a part where a photoreceptor drum 1 is opposed to a transfer roll 5. The fixing device 9 is provided with, in a case 11, a heating roll 12, a pressurizing roll 13, a radiation shielding member 14 adjacently facing the heating roll 12 and the pressurizing roll 13 to cover them and also a blow device 16 for generating an air flow in a space 17 which is formed by the member 14 and the case 11. Radiation heat from the heating roll 12 and the pressurizing roll 13 is reflected against the front surface layer 14a of the radiation shielding member 14 so that the rolls 12 and 13 are efficiently heated. A part of radiation heat is not easily transmitted to the rear surface side though transmitted to an insulation layer 14b and, moreover, the air flow is generated by the blow device 16 in the space 17.
