<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing barium titanate powder and the doped powder having excellent powder characteristics, with higher productivity and economically, employing an oxalate method. <P>SOLUTION: A mixed aqueous solution of a barium chloride aqueous solution and a titanium chloride aqueous solution or a doping element containing mixed aqueous solution formed by adding and dissolving a compound of an element which can be used as a donor or an acceptor into the mixed aqueous solution is manufactured. The mixed aqueous solution is added to an oxalic acid aqueous solution to precipitate barium titanate oxalate or doped barium titanate oxalate, then the obtained precipitate is aged, washed, filtrated and dried and then the barium titanate powder or the doped barium titanate powder is manufactured from the resultant precipitate successively via a primary calcination stage, a primary pulverization stage, a secondary calcinations stage and a secondary pulverization stage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
