<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always grasp the use temperature of a paper detection means, in an image forming device of a digital system which has a both-sided unit having a paper detecting means which triggers stopping of paper. <P>SOLUTION: First and second paper carrying sensors 202 and 203 are provided to stop paper in stop positions (1) and (2). Paper is stopped in such a manner that after the leading end of the paper is detected by respective sensors 202 and 203, a stepping motor 110 is stopped after a fixed length of time and the paper is stopped. Axial current fans 201 are provided below carrying sensors 202 and 203. Temperature detection sensors 204 are provided near the sensors 202 and 203. The axial current fans 201 are turned on/off according to the detected temperatures. When the temperatures increase, the response accuracy of each of the temperature detection sensors 204 is degraded. In order to avoid it, stop control is exerted in advance. When the temperature is low, the response accuracy is adequate, the timing of stop is, therefore, delayed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
