<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve appearance by easily adjusting the height of a handrail in the fixed state of a handrail coping. <P>SOLUTION: A post 2 having an opening part 21 at the upper end is provided with a cap 23 for closing the opening part 21 leaving a through hole for a bracket 10. The bracket 10 is provided with a support body 11 for fixing the handrail coping 3; a fixture 30 comprising an inner wedge body and an outer wedge body 33 inserted in the opening part 21 of the post 2; and a fastener 40 comprising a fastening bolt 41 passing through the cap 23 to pass in a loosely fitted state through the inner wedge body 32 and outer wedge body 33, and a fastening nut 43. The support body 11 is adjusted in optional height to the inner wedge body 32 and outer wedge body 33 fittingly inserted in the opening part 21 of the post 2 together with the support body 11. In this state, the fastening bolt 41 and fastening nut 43 are thread-connected. The inner wedge body 32 and outer wedge body 33 are thereby expanded in the inner side face of the post 2 and the side face of the support body 11 to fix the support body 11 in pressure contact. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
