PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an invert which has a simple construction and can be installed in a predetermined manhole easily by anyone and is capable of smoothly draining sewage or the like, and provide a construction method for the invert. SOLUTION: This invert comprises an invert body 1 forming a trough-shaped flow path R with the top face opened and collars 2 and 2 extended outwardly along the direction of the flow path from both end portions 1a and 1a of the invert body 1 in such a way that the inner periphery 20 is positioned at the side of its outer periphery 12 rather than the inner periphery 10 of the invert body 1, and both collars 2 and 2 and the invert body 1 are formed integrally.
